Lakes Entrance Aboriginal Health Association (LEAHA) in partnership with Gippsland Lakes Complete Health (GLCH) aims to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal community members in and around the townships of Lakes Entrance, Metung and Swan Reach.
This traineeship will provide on the job training whilst completing HLT40221 Certificate IV Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Care Practice.
You will develop the skills and knowledge required to support the delivery of culturally safe, primary health care services. Working under supervision, you will assist with basic clinical tasks, health promotion activities and client support, while building confidence, strong communication skills and an understanding of community needs.
We are looking for people who have:
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, a willingness to learn and complete all traineeship requirements, and a positive, customer-focused attitude. You will also bring strong communication skills, and while previous work experience is an advantage, it is not essential.
