About the role

The Room Leader is responsible for the day-to day running of a designated room within the Children’s Centre. Rooms at the Centre include Tiny Treasures (0-18 months); Little Explorers (18 months – 2 ½ years); and Investigators (2 to 3 years).

You will play an important role in developing and maintaining a high quality, stimulating learning environment, and be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the children in your room. You will also be required to supervise, support and mentor educators and students who work within your room.

This position requires you to be standing, walking and bending for the duration of your shift.  A good level of physical fitness is required.

Over 160 children are currently enrolled at the Centre.  The Children’s Centre is located on Coates Road, Lakes Entrance

Qualifications

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or be enrolled and studying towards this), is mandatory.
