About the role

 The Case Manager – Emergency Recovery Support Program plays a key role in supporting individuals and families impacted by natural disasters. Working as part of a coordinated recovery response, the role provides a single point of contact for clients, delivering case management, practical assistance, information and referrals to help people navigate available services and supports during their recovery.

The position involves assessing immediate and longer-term needs, coordinating appropriate services, providing advocacy, and assisting clients with applications and access to financial or community support. Through outreach, collaboration with service providers and engagement with the community, the Case Manager helps individuals and families strengthen their recovery and rebuild connections following disaster events.

 Skills & Experience

  • A degree in Social Work or Psychology, a Diploma in Community services or Financial Counselling or be working towards
  • Work experience applying care coordination and case management practices and techniques.
