About the role

This position will be responsible for providing hand therapy service to clients in the community. The hand therapy service operates within the community occupational therapy team. The occupational therapy team delivers high quality evidence-based practice to the community in a range of speciality areas including but not limited to home modifications, assistive technology, assessment and intervention, paediatrics and hand therapy.
 
You will provide hand therapy services, under the supervision of an accredited hand therapist, to clients in the community to maximise their independence and wellbeing. Services are delivered in both private and public models and are funded from a range of sources including Medicare, NDIS and case management. This role forms part of a larger multi-disciplinary allied health team and you will be supported by a team of allied health assistants and administration staff to deliver efficient and effective occupational therapy/ hand therapy services.

 

Skills & Experience 

Required is a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy and full registration with AHPRA. Experience in hand therapy practice and associate membership with the Australian Hand Therapy Association is desirable but not essential.
