About the role

This clinically focused role provides comprehensive nursing care to clients accessing pharmacotherapy and community AOD services. Working collaboratively with GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Care & Recovery Workers and other health professionals, the role supports clinical assessment, withdrawal and pharmacotherapy management, monitoring and risk assessment. The role also promotes health education, overdose prevention and harm reduction, while identifying and supporting clients’ broader health and wellbeing needs.

Skills & Experience

  • AHPRA recognised Registered Nurse qualification
  • Completion of the four AOD core competencies from the Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs Work or willingness to do so.
